Hosted by Rob Kapilow and featuring Ulysses Quartet. More than 700 letters document Leoš Janáček’s obsession with the woman who served as his muse during the final decade of his life. While largely unrequited, his passion inspired nearly all of his best-known works, including his Second String Quartet, “Intimate Letters,” written in only 21 days in 1921, the final year of his life.
