About

Wicket: A Parody Musical is the new “wok” musical that delights nerds, surprises casual Star Wars fans, and charms sold-out crowds night after night. The premise is familiar—just as Wicked tells the untold stories of the witches of Oz, Wicket tells the untold stories of the ewoks of Endor from the 1983 film Return of the Jedi. We all thought they were a random race of alien teddy bears. Turns out they’re actually the master plan of the evil director of the galaxy. (Yes, of course we mean the Emperor… George Lucas.) Wicket spotlights one of George Lucas’ most dubious creations—the space teddy-bears known as Ewoks—to explore the love/hate relationship between creators and fans while calling Lucas to task for the racism, sexism, and maybe even sizism of the original Star Wars trilogy. While Wicket gives audiences a whole new perspective on Princess Leia, the Emperor, the Ewoks, and the entire saga we know so well; it also gives them reasons to cheer, unlimited laughs, and memorable numbers to hum on their way home. Yubnub!
