Orchestra Miami presents the Florida premiere of the oratorio The Road of Promise, adapted from Kurt Weill’s opera The Eternal Road by Ed Harsh. This version condenses Weill’s original 4- act opera into 14 movements lasting a little over two hours. The opera was conceived as a method of raising the American public’s awareness to Hitler’s persecution of the Jews in 1937.
