Musicfest’s favorite globetrotting “little orchestra,” helmed by pianist Thomas Lauderdale, returns to the stage for two performances of big, bold, genre-defying songs that traverse time and geography. Featuring lead singer China Forbes, this band is “impressive at every musician’s station,” as Variety says, “…producing music that’s charming and elegant.” From Brazilian sambas to jaunty Parisian café songs to retro jazz and old-fashioned pop, Pink Martini will get you in the mood to party!

The star of last season’s highly-successful tribute to Billy Joel and Elton John, Michael Cavanaugh (Tony and Grammy nominee for Broadway’s Movin’ Out) returns to honor the music of even more celebrated singer-songwriters. Well-known to Musicfest audiences, Valley favorite Nicole Pesce unites her two musical acts into one swingin’ super-group for this special Musicfest performance. We3 (pianist Pesce, along with vocalist Renee Grant Patrick and violinist Suzanne Lansford) along with the thrilling husband and wife piano duo Stephanie Trick and Paolo Alderighi, combine their talents into a masterful quintet of artistic virtuosity and pizzazz, performing signature arrangements of classic jazz, swing, standards, ragtime, blues, and so much more.

Australia’s acclaimed Human Nature returns to Musicfest, direct from Las Vegas. This high energy show celebrates the great sounds of Motown’s legendary vocal groups, and features classic chart-topping hits including “Dancing in the Street,” “Ain’t too Proud to Beg,” “Reach Out I’ll Be There,” “Stop! In The Name of Love” and other enduring anthems.
