Celebrate the iconic magic of Disney Channel Original Movies with DCOM: Live! Experience an immersive journey through music, dance, and nostalgia, featuring hits from High School Musical, Camp Rock, The Cheetah Girls, and Descendants, as well as The Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana, Lizzie McGuire and SO many more! So Say We All and ArtPower at UC San Diego invite students, faculty, and staff to send us their true, creative non-fiction stories and join us for the first ever UCSD VAMP Storytelling Showcase! Our inaugural theme, “The Unexpected Ally,” invites true tales about receiving salvation from surprising sources, being gobsmacked by enemies becoming heroes, discovering redemption in the darkest crevices, and however else our brave storytellers interpret the theme. All stories are 100% true and boldly told, so come discover some unexpected allies in your own community as they bare their soul for your titillation.

This land runs through Katherine Paul’s blood. And it called to her. In dreams she saw the river, her ancestors, and her home.When the land calls, you listen. And KP found herself far from her ancestral lands during a time of collective trauma, when the world was wounded and in need of healing. In 2020 she made the journey from Portland back to the Skagit River, back to the cedar trees that stand tall and shrouded in fog, back to the tide flats and the mountains, back to Swinomish.

9. Meta4 | Polarkr(e)is Drifting North
Founded in 2001, Meta4 is one of Finland’s most celebrated string quartets. Their Polarkr(e)is Drifting North program explores works from the sound worlds of the Arctic Circle, from the Inuit themes of American composer Amy Beach’s String Quartet, to works of their fellow Finns Kaija Saarhiaho and Jean Sibelius, paired with Italo-Indian composer Krishna Nagaraja’s Stringar, a piece that combines old and new through Nordic folk dance tunes.
