An Evening of Stravinsky! Three incredible ballets in one night: Apollo, Balanchine's 1928 ballet of a young God coming into his own, the Ballet West premiere of Jiří Kylián's emotional Symphony of Psalms (Ballet West premiere), which takes us on a spiritual journey with a full chorus of singers and orchestra, and the return of Nicolo Fonte's popular The Right of Spring a primal exploration of life, death, and rebirth. The Frederick Quinney Lawson Ballet West Academy’s Salt Lake City Campuses are proud to present the Don Quixote Suite with George Balanchine’s Symphony in C, featuring dancers from Ballet West II. Students from the Student, Professional Training, and Trainee Divisions will bring to life an abridged version of the classic Don Quixote based on the adventures and characters in Miguel de Cervantes’ novel of the same title and the dazzling, technically demanding masterpiece Symphony in C, first created for the Paris Opera Ballet, to celebrate the culmination of the 2024-2025 school year.
