1. The Mary Wallopers

2. Beethoven & Brahms
True romance: for the composers of the Romantic era, music was about gazing into the human soul and transforming raw passion into timeless beauty. And music doesn’t get much more beautiful than Beethoven’s radiant Violin Concerto: a sunlit, soaring masterpiece in which the soloist almost seems to take flight.

3. Alison Moyet
Following her recent graduation from Brighton University in 2023 with a first-class degree in Fine Art Printmaking BA (Hons), Alison Moyet has combined both art and music in her upcoming album Key, creating the album art herself. Key celebrates her 40th year as a solo artist and is a collection of 16 reworked singles, fan favourites and deep cuts as well as two new songs. It distils 40 years of music making, presenting a cohesive overview of a long and dazzling journey and showcasing the depth and breadth of Alison's artistic creativity and songwriting.

4. David Gray
David Gray’s story is unlike any other. He spent almost a decade striving to make a breakthrough, and when it happened it did so in the biggest way imaginable as White Ladder became one of the best-selling British albums of recent decades and established him as an arena-filling artist. As the years have passed, his songcraft has only been deepened by his natural ability to convey specific emotions, atmospheres or, as heard on his acclaimed 2021 album Skellig, a perception of place. While the likes of Ed Sheeran, Adele and Hozier have acknowledged his influence, David has continued to follow his own artistic path.

His subtle, pulsating works abound in wit and light: tonight’s concert opens with the famous Music for Pieces of Wood, moves onto his jazzy, perfectly flowing Runner and closes with his elegant collaboration Reich/Richter, mirroring the shimmering lines and gorgeous textures of Richter and Corinna Belz’s film Moving Picture (946-3).
