3. LaF
Standard-bearer of the alternative guard of Montreal rap, LaF has carved out a special place for itself in the musical landscape over the past five years. Having emerged victorious from the renowned Les Francouvertes showcase competition in 2018 and already buoyed by the release of three opuses – the album Citadelle (2019), the EP Soin entreprise (2020) and the ambitious album Chrome (2023) on Disques 7ième Ciel – the group is preparing to launch the second volume of the EP Soin entreprise in early 2025. Having first cut its teeth on stage, LaF is known for its electrifying performances. With an arbitrary rap production that combines soul, jazz and sometimes pop sounds, the group's music is nestled in a hybrid, meticulous and accessible hip-hop on which the rappers' three distinct voices come together in a dynamic but homogeneous narrative, unequivocally crafted to get the crowds on their feet

4. Audrey-Michèle & David Bujold
Over the past four years, Audrey-Michèle has dedicated herself to creating a first album that was released on November 22, 2024: "La montagne en forme de maison". It features arrangements that are both simple and sophisticated, highlighting Audrey-Michèle's voice, who performs each song with disconcerting authenticity. Despite its very intimate nature, it is a work that she describes as "collaborative", given the impressive list of colleagues and friends who spontaneously believed in the project. Michel Rivard, Stéphane Lafleur, Brad Barr (Barr Brothers), Katrine Noël (Hay Babies), Philippe B, Amylie and Foisy sign 7 of the 10 songs on this first opus that will resonate with you from the first listen.

10. Fresh Availability & Kinkead
Frais Dispo is the name chosen by the musicians of Foreign Diplomats to launch their very first album in French. Much more than a side project, Frais Dispo marks a new milestone in the careers of Élie Raymond, Antoine Lévesque-Roy, Thomas Bruneau Faubert, Charles Primeau and Antoine Gallois. A first show marked by several years of chemistry and experience of its members. Sounds tinged with alt-country influences and musical flights that will undoubtedly please you. Henri and Simon Kinkead are twin brothers and they love each other very much. Their second album, 'Henri & Simon' is a tribute to many things they love: well-turned Quebec songs, melodies that harmonize and the pop grooves of the 70s and 80s that rocked their shared childhood. On stage, they reunite with their long-time acolytes and offer a festive show that evokes the intoxicating karaoke evenings that last until the wee hours.
