Celebrating Chamber Music Excellence: Highlights from the Concerts of 2025
In the summer of 2025, three captivating events took place, each spotlighting the brilliance of chamber music and its talented performers. From the passionate strings of the Leonkoro Quartet to the award-winning gala showcasing promising talents, and an entire evening dedicated to the timeless works of Mozart, these events were a testament to the vibrant classical music scene. Let's dive into the performances, the musicians, and the unforgettable musical moments that defined these remarkable gatherings.
We enjoy being surprised by artistic excellence. That's why emerging artists like the Classical Music Marathon have long held a permanent place in our program. In 2021, one ensemble in particular shone when it presented itself at the marathon. "The Leonkoro Quartet has an enormous stage presence, is passionate about music, takes great risks, and astonishes with its sensitivity to the specific sonorities of the pieces," wrote the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung some time ago – and we gladly join in this celebration. Performing string quartets by Mozart, Mendelssohn Bartholdy, and Bosmans, the Leonkoro Quartet is a guest in this year's "Excellent!" series, having recently been highly recommended as the newly crowned winner of the prestigious Borletti-Buitoni Award.
You have to remember these names! Our three newly crowned award winners are already among the superstars of the young classical music scene, having earned our coveted awards last summer as part of the "Young Elite" program. They will now present themselves to the audience in the gala concert, both together and as soloists. We say: Welcome to the festival family!
The summer of 2025 was a splendid celebration of chamber music, bringing together exceptional talent and unforgettable performances. From the passionate strings of the Leonkoro Quartet to the promising young talents at the award-winning gala, and the homage to Mozart's genius, each event resonated deeply with audiences. These gatherings remind us of the timeless appeal of classical music and its ability to unite, inspire, and evoke profound emotions. As we look forward to future festivals, the legacy of these events will undoubtedly continue to enrich the cultural tapestry of the classical music world.
