3. Spring Experience 2025
27’52” is made for six dancers, who form three duets. When the ballet was created, four dancers from the original cast were inspired by various poems in the creation process. Quotes from these poems are also included in the work. The ballet was developed through a unique collaboration between choreographer and composer, as German composer Dirk Haubrich created the music specifically for this piece.

Jean-Christophe Maillot’s version shares the tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet through the eyes of the remorseful Friar Lawrence. This original perspective on the well-known story enables us to deeply connect with the themes of pride, fear, excitement, and subsequent impulsiveness. The minimalistic sets amplify the dancers’ emotions, allowing audience members to see themselves in the turmoil and passion of the characters on stage.
