1. Jonathan Tetelman: In Concert
Fort Worth Opera opens its 80th anniversary season with a rare stateside appearance by internationally acclaimed tenor Jonathan Tetelman. A Deutsche Grammophon recording artist and jet-setting leading man, Tetelman has captivated audiences with his warm, full-bodied tenor and ardent stage presence — from Lisbon to Prague, and Istanbul to Taipei. On October 10, he takes the stage at Van Cliburn Concert Hall for a one-night-only event. Tetelman will be joined onstage by accompanist Michael Recchiuti, a celebrated conductor and pianist who has collaborated with opera legends like Renée Fleming and icons like Vanessa Williams. A star in his own right, Recchiuti brings decades of international experience to the keyboard.

2. La Belle et La Bête
American composer Philip Glass’s La Belle et la Bête (Beauty and the Beast) is a bold fusion of opera and film — a genre-defying concert augmentation of Jean Cocteau’s 1946 cinematic masterpiece. In this mesmeric production, Fort Worth Opera singers and musicians perform Glass’s hypnotic score live on stage, perfectly synchronized to the surrealist fairy tale projected behind them on the big screen at the historic Ridglea Theater. With expressive singers and a unique musical ensemble replacing the film’s original dialogue and soundtrack, the experience blurs the line between cinema and stage — delivering a visually stunning, musically intricate, and utterly one-of-a-kind experience.

3. Cowboys and Culture
Cowboys & Culture is a uniquely Fort Worth celebration of art, music, and the spirit of the American West. Presented during the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo season in partnership with the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, this operatic showcase features Western-themed repertoire performed by Fort Worth Opera’s Hattie Mae Lesley Resident Artists, along with special appearances by familiar friends of the company. The event captures the heart of the city’s identity and offers a rich musical tribute to the place we proudly call Cowtown.

4. Madama Butterfly
Giacomo Puccini’s Madama Butterfly returns to Bass Performance Hall in a stunning full production from Fort Worth Opera that delivers the heartbreak and beauty of this iconic work. Featuring breathtaking sets, richly detailed costumes, and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra bringing Puccini’s achingly beautiful score to life, this unforgettable story of love, cultural blindness, and a mother’s sacrifice remains as powerful today as when Fort Worth Opera first performed it in 1947. Anchored by one of the most exquisite scores in the operatic canon, Butterfly is a poignant tribute to a woman’s steadfast devotion and maturing will — and a signature work of the company’s 80-year legacy.
