3. Fairytales

Our Fairytales concert will transport you to enchanted places, presenting timeless stories with magical creatures and extraordinary events. Debussy’s "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun" tells the story of a faun who awakens from a nap and falls madly in love with a nymph. This brief piece of music (just nine minutes long) is considered one of the first examples of modern music due to its innovative harmonies and orchestration.

4. Young Artists Concert

Every year the HSO promotes a competition for Young Artists. It is a unique opportunity for musicians to perform with an orchestra, most of the time for the first time. Unlike most competitions, we offer complete freedom of choice of repertoire, which gives them the possibility to be creative and allows teachers to work with students in a more didactic way.
