Celebrating eleven years of dance education in Santa Barbara, Momentum Dance Company brings their annual end of year dance celebration to The Lobero Theatre this summer. MDC’s owner Betsy Woyach has created a legacy in Santa Barbara with MDC’s National Award-winning Competitive Company and elite level of dance education offered for dancers ages 3-18. The MDC family could not be more excited to present our talented and diverse group of dancers to our community this summer. MDC’s dancers are guaranteed to entertain, warm your hearts, and get you up out of your seats with an array of styles and ages performing in this 2 hour dance performance.

Crosby Collective will bring their seamless blend of classics from all genres to the Lobero Theatre on June 12 and 13. Helmed by mashup maven Jason Crosby, the ensemble of music veterans performs amalgamated compositions, plugging songs together to create one cohesive movement like “Friend of the Lithium,” Grateful Dead meets Nirvana. The one-of-a-kind musical exploration resonates with listeners, given its air of familiarity and improvisational backbone. Singer songwriter Jackson Browne will participate in both Santa Barbara concerts.

World Premiere of “Eternal Stoke,” an intimate portrait of surfing legend Chris Brown by award winning filmmaker Josh Pomer. This film chronicles Brown’s journey from California’s surfing star to big wave rider to beloved Santa Barbara legend. Join us for this special fundraiser supporting the Chris Brown Scholarship and John Bradbury Documentary. The evening opens with music by singer/songwriter Burleigh Skidmore, followed by Chloe Brown’s introduction to the film “Eternal Stoke” then an intermission and then the screening of “Particle Fever” – the Barney Barron movie. There will also be a raffle and a silent auction.”

With hits like “Passionate Kisses” and “He Thinks He’ll Keep Her,” she has won five GRAMMY® Awards (with 18 nominations), two CMA Awards, two ACM Awards and is one of only 15 female members of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Carpenter’s record “One Night Lonely” was nominated for Best Folk Album at the 65th Annual GRAMMY® Awards, and in 2023 the songwriter was awarded the Poet’s Award at the ACM Honors, recognizing outstanding and longstanding musical and lyrical contributions throughout her career.
