Now in its second year after a tremendously successful 2024 premiere, our unique partnership for Celebración Latina - A Mariachi Fiesta will find OLV collaborating with the College of Southern Nevada's Award-winning Mariachi Plata for a festive presentation of traditional music and Zarzuela (Spanish operetta), mingled with unique recent lyric theatre compositions and bi-lingual narration, starring soprano Cecilia Violetta López, baritone Octavio Moreno, and pianist Nathan Salazar.

Giuseppe Verdi was a noted Italian composer of operas. To say that it is an understatement is itself... an understatement! Verdi produced some of the finest lyric theatre pieces in the history of opera, and this program will offer a "greatest hits" parade of world famous selections from Rigoletto, La Traviata, Il trovatore, Falstaff, and more! Know Before You Go: No food and beverages will be served during the performance. Food and beverage will be sold pre-show and during intermission only.

Set aboard the British ship HMS Pinafore, this delightful operetta tells the tale of Ralph Rackstraw, a lowly sailor, who falls in love with the captain's daughter, Josephine. Despite the social divide, Ralph's determined pursuit of Josephine's heart faces obstacles from her father, Captain Corcoran, who has other matrimonial plans for her involving the pompous Sir Joseph Porter. With a cast of colorful characters, charming songs, and a series of surprising revelations, this witty and satirical story navigates themes of love, duty, and social class, ultimately leading to a joyous and unexpected resolution where love conquers all.
