1. Children's Festival Week - The Moldau
Bedřich Smetana's best-known work depicts a symphonic journey along the Vltava: the river rises in softly murmuring springs, visits dancing nymphs in the moonlight, wanders through raging rapids and finally disappears majestically into the Elbe. The piece was written in 1874, when the composer was already completely deaf. With your ears pricked, you can embark on an exciting river journey at the family concert!

2. Saint-Saëns' Organ Symphony & Johann Strauss in his honor
It has an inherent majestic strength: Camille Saint-Saëns' 3rd Symphony, composed in 1886 - one of the first non-sacred organ works for orchestra. With Saint-Saëns' powerful sounds, the Philharmonie Salzburg will first make the Stadtkirche Hallein tremble on this evening, before paying homage to Johann Strauss on his 200th birthday in the second part of the concert, together with the lower school choir of the Musisches Gymnasium Salzburg.
