1. Opening Weekend: Dvořák’s “New World” Symphony
Our 2025/26 Season kicks off with Beethoven’s “Emperor” Piano Concerto No. 5 and Dvořák’s “New World” Symphony No. 9. Pianist Llewellyn Sánchez-Werner, 2022 Concert Artists Guild winner, returns as soloist. Paolo Bortolameolli, associate conductor of the LA Philharmonic, returns to lead this concert of much-loved repertoire including Berlioz’s Roman Carnival Overture.

2. DANNY ELFMAN IN PHOENIX: Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton
Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton explores the collaborative relationship between music and storytelling and the process and importance that this has in filmmaking. Composer Danny Elfman and visionary Hollywood filmmaker Tim Burton have created a unique concert experience, lending music and visuals to celebrate the 25-year partnership of two of Hollywood’s top creators. Danny Elfman joins the Phoenix Symphony for this concert featuring the famous Tim Burton film scores brought to life on stage, enhanced by visuals of original sketches and drawings on the big screen.

3. Mozart & Mahler
Associate Conductor Alex Amsel leads this program with two pieces inspired by faith. 5. Litton Conducts Tchaikovsky
Andrew Litton, Music Director of the New York City Ballet, conducts the must-hear Shostakovich Violin Concerto No. 1, a work that is brimming with technical precision and virtuosic themes captivatingly interpreted by Minsk-born Yevgeny Kutik. Beethoven’s stormy Coriolan Overture opens the concert and sets the mood of dramatic music-making. 8. Scheherazade and Sandoval
