Marie Jacquot conducts Mozart's unfinished masterpiece. The opera's soloists will share the stage with the Royal Danish Orchestra and the Royal Danish Opera Chorus in Mozart's Great Mass in C minor. Also performed is the award-winning composer Signe Lykke's new work for trombone dedicated to Jesper Busk Sørensen.

5. Jacquot, Mahler & Strauss
Jacquot launches the season with her favourite composer, Richard Strauss, and his symphonic poem Tod und Verklärung. In this work, Strauss portrays an artist’s last hour—from the first laboured breaths of death through luminous memories and agonising pain, culminating in a radiant moment of transcendence, accompanied by sublime celestial music. In the final musical image, all earthly turmoil fades away, and the artist gently drifts into eternal rest.
