Paramount Theatre tours are on the first Saturday of every month. Please meet in front of the main entrance of the theatre – on the corner of 9th and Pine – by 10am. The tours will last approximately 120 minutes and will be lead by members of our well-versed volunteer staff.

5. STG Dance for PD® on Vashon
STG Dance for PD® classes use dance, live music, and community in a safe and creative environment to support students in developing artistry and grace while addressing such PDspecific concerns as balance, flexibility, coordination, isolation, and gait. Working with professional dancers and teaching artists trained in the Dance for PD® method, participants are inspired to explore movement and music in ways that are refreshing, enjoyable, and stimulating. Whether seated or standing, people with Parkinson’s disease will enjoy this creative and welcoming class that is open to all abilities and mobility of movement. Live music is used to enhance the positive experience this class brings to participants, and all involved. No dance experience is required to participate. The classes are always free. STG Dance for PD® classes are based on the Dance for PD® method developed by Mark Morris Dance Group and Brooklyn Parkinson Group.

6. DANCE This Youth Choreographer's Lab
STG’s DANCE This Youth Choreographer’s Lab is an 7-month program where selected participants will have the opportunity to bring their personal artist visions to life. Students will have various workshop classes, along with choreographic mentorship by local and international dance artists of various styles of dance. Youth choreographers will also participate in the Broadway & Performing Arts Workshop Series as well as have an opportunity to see each of the shows listed!

YAMATO is a Japanese Taiko drumming group based in Asuka-mura Nara Prefecture which is well known by Japanese people as the hometown of Japan. They call themselves “YAMATO, the Taiko drumming group that travels all over the world”. They have given more than 4,500 shows across 54 countries around the world since their formation in 1993.
