Confessions revives a rarely heard gallant work for Soprano, Alto, and Bass with chamber orchestra titled Confitebor by Baldassare Galuppi. The show also features Vivaldi’s La Follia and sacred arias from Salve Regina and Nisi Dominus, as well as a trio sonata by Johann Adolph Hasse. All of these composers understood the healing power of music through their work at Italian Ospedale.

3. Bach: Markus Passion
The Sebastians are thrilled to partner with with Concert Theatre Works and Chatham Baroque to present the world premiere of Bach’s long-lost St. Mark Passion, as reconstructed by musicologist Malcolm Bruno. Featuring music direction by Jeffrey Grossman, stage direction by Bill Barclay, and an ensemble of fourteen players and four singers with iconic actor Joseph Marcell (Royal Shakespeare Company, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) as the Evangelist, this once-in-a-lifetime theatrical event is not to be missed.
