3. Mozart & Beethoven's Seventh
Stunning. Epic. Unforgettable. Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony is one of the most popular orchestral works of all time, and its influence marches on. Its sombre second movement anchored the climactic moment of the Oscar-winning film The King’s Speech. Symphony Nova Scotia performs this breathtaking magnum opus alongside Mozart’s delightful and rip-roaring Marriage of Figaro. Plus, Syrian-American clarinetist Kinan Azmeh returns to once again perform Dinuk Wijeratne’s Clarinet Concerto, which was inspired by his own immigrant story and in response to the Syrian conflict and commissioned especially for our orchestra.

5. Amherst: Bach & Friends
With his exceptional talent, massive career, and glorious, transcendent works, Johann Sebastian Bach is the undisputed father of classical music – but lesser known are his many brilliant contemporaries.
