2. In Bocca al Lupo
In Bocca al Lupo (meaning “in the wolf’s mouth,” an Italian turn of phrase similar to “break a leg” as used in opera and theater) is a project spearheaded by medieval & renaissance music luminary Shira Kammen. The ensemble comprises a dynamic roster of multi instrumentalists and singers versed in historical and global performance practices.

4. Ensemble Affect
Ensemble Affect is a string band conceived in Chicago, with members spread across the U.S. specializing in historically informed performance. Established November 2019, the ensemble brings thrilling music of the Baroque, as well as Classical and Renaissance periods across the country providing accessible, engaging, and affordable concert performances. “Affect” illuminates the slew of different emotions imbued in the music through the raw power of period instruments, creating emotive, passionate, and dramatic concert experiences.

5. Ensemble Constantinople
Inspired by the ancient city illuminating the East and West, Constantinople stands at the crossroads of artistic encounters; drawing from the heritage of the Middle-Ages and the Renaissance, from Europe to the Mediterranean and to the Middle-East. Founded in 2001 in Montreal by artistic director Kiya Tabassian, Constantinople honors and shares the rich musical traditions of the world by creating new music in the form of unique encounters, connections and bridges between cultures, periods, styles and people, and by disseminating it around the globe. Constantinople has 20 albums to its credit and traveled to more than 290 cities in 57 countries presenting over 60 works.
