Devised and performed by celebrated composer Nigel Hess, The Food of Love is a glittering tribute in words and music to William Shakespeare.

A potpourri of reminiscences, memorable reviews, scandalous backstage anecdotes and some of the Bard’s finest lines, performed by actors Lesley Nicol (Downton Abbey) and Richard Teverson (The Crown), paired with a glorious selection of music by Craig Armstrong (Romeo & Juliet), William Walton, Michael Kamen, Cole Porter and Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love) as well as Nigel’s own witty and delightful songs written for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
