The career of Bruce Foxton spans almost 5 decades. He came to prominence as bassist, vocalist, and songwriter for The Jam, writing and performing the lead vocals on News of the World, Smithers-Jones and The Kinks cover David Watts.

Bassist and songwriter Bruce Foxton – best known for his work with The Jam and Stiff Little Fingers – and Chris Difford of Squeeze play Cadogan Hall as part of their highly anticipated 2026 tour.

With a career spanning nearly five decades, Foxton first rose to fame as bassist/vocalist and songwriter for The Jam, writing and performing lead vocals on ‘News of the World’, ‘Smithers-Jones’, and their celebrated cover of The Kinks’ ‘David Watts’.

Following The Jam’s split, Foxton released his solo album Touch Sensitive in 1984, before joining punk-rock pioneers Stiff Little Fingers, with whom he toured and recorded for over 15 years.
