Their own translations, faithful to the originals, bring the songs to life and make their meanings relatable. "It's Now or Never" becomes "Jetzt oder nie" (Now or Never), Louis Prima's "Gigolo" transforms into "A wüda Bua" (A Wild Boy), instead of "Jackson," we travel to "Sankt Pölten" (St. Pölten) with Johnny Cash, and "La vie en rose" celebrates the good life. These eccentric characters from the Oktoberfest also bring Viennese music: from Bronner's "Gschupftem Ferdl" (Snappy Ferdl) and Hodina's "Kirschen" (Cherries) to Danzer and Heller's "Zigeina" (Gypsy) – charming, quirky, and with a twinkle in their eyes.
