Antonio Salieri was once the great, admired, Italian court composer in Vienna. He had made a deal with God that Salieri would praise God through music, and that would be rewarded with divine inspiration. But then Salieri and the rest of Vienna and all of Europe meet Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. A young, silly, German fool. A vile and shrill-laughing new composer, who is called “Wolfi” by his fiancée. But he has one thing. He is a God-given genius composer, and no one can refuse him. His music enchants everything and everyone, and it makes Salieri’s compositions sound old-fashioned, stiff, boring – and worst of all: mediocre.

Amadeus

Aalborg Theater

A matriarchal shout-out to the Norwegian national epic Peer Gynt, moving the action 152 years forward in time, swapping the genders of the main characters, and exploring who gets to behave like a shitheel. Norgedramatiken's perhaps most unsympathetic protagonist is thrown into the bitch cauldron together with underlying vulnerability and a longing to be loved, preferably celebrated.

Peer/Bitch

Spinderiet

The solo performance I, Handel is based on Carl-Michael Edenbor's novel My Cruel Fate – a historical fantasy about the life of German composer Georg Friedrich Handel. The performance is a cross-dressing of the language, the physical embodiment, and the narrative about the great male composer.

I, Handel

Turteatern

A choreographic interpretation of Gustave Flaubert's Madame Bovary by choreographer Henriette Pedersen and dramatist P. Mercury
