On Thanksgiving Day 1976, The Band – one of the most influential Americana and roots rock bands of the 60s and 70s, known for their tight vocal harmonies and collaborations with Bob Dylan – gave their legendary farewell concert, The Last Waltz, in San Francisco. It became a musical highlight, with some of the biggest names of the era sharing the stage: Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton and many more. The concert was immortalized by film director Martin Scorsese and today stands as one of the most iconic nights in rock history.
