Zakarias was raised in a religious home in Brabrand, where faith and superstition go hand in hand. When he falls in love with the imam's son, Younes, he is ostracized by his family and his religious community. They believe he is possessed by an evil spirit, a DJINN" class="css-u850" data-mark-multiple="true">djinn, who must be exorcised. Zakarias flees to Copenhagen in the hope of finding himself and making peace with the djinn that haunts him. But can one turn one's back on one's origins without losing one's faith?
