In a military prison, a deserted soldier is in solitary confinement. In his cell, he fights for his life against the incessant humiliations and beatings of his captors. Through flashbacks, his story of growing up in a village community on the border between Turkey and Armenia unfolds, where everyday life revolves around dreams, friendship and falling in love, until a brutal occupation takes place that forces him to grow up. Everything is turned upside down when death shows its ugly face and he is conscripted into military service by 'the faceless'. His life slowly disintegrates, because who are you when you lose your freedom and no one calls you by name anymore?
