From the brilliant mind of Academy Award winner Tarell Alvin McCraney, known for his works like *Moonlight* and *Choir Boy*, comes *The Brothers Size*. This compelling narrative unfolds in the heart of the Louisiana Bayou, where the mundane intertwines with the mystic. The story delves into the lives of two brothers: Ogun Size, steadfast and responsible, and his younger sibling, Oshoosi, who finds himself directionless after being released from prison. Together, they navigate the complex waters of freedom, family, and the unbreakable bonds of brotherhood, against a backdrop rich in poetry, African mythology, and music.

This production has been lauded as a "fresh and contemporary tale of belonging" and has received numerous accolades, including the New York Times Outstanding Playwright Award (2009) and the Paula Vogel Playwriting Award (2007). Set against the backdrop of the Kavanaugh hearings, this play makes the political deeply personal, offering a real-time rollercoaster of romance and reckoning.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Susan Kander and Roberta Gumbel's dwb (driving while black) tackles what it means to be a parent of a Black child who starts driving. In its swift 45 minutes, the listener spends 16 years with a Black mother, feeling her growing fear as her Black son moves towards driving age.

“The deeply affecting and innovatively conceived new chamber opera dwb (driving while black) makes its powerful impact with deliberately limited forces. The piece, by composer Susan Kander and first-time librettist Roberta Gumbel, is a 45 minute monodrama for female voice. As the tournament unfolds, Khady becomes a role model for young Muslim women everywhere, except she’s lying about fasting. Winning at all costs will force Khady to grapple with her faith and confront some uncomfortable truths about who she’s meant to be.
