In a darkened stage, a large pendulum swings in a steady rhythm, as if it were measuring time itself. In interaction with its movement, choreographer and dancer Erik Eriksson enters a world where his body moves between acceleration and deceleration, light and shadow. In his hand he carries a sledgehammer – a tool whose history and weight shape the dynamics and movement of the dance. Below him – thin streaks of light. Around him – the sound of brittle piano notes, as if someone were gently trying to comfort the weight itself.
