During this daytime performance you will be able to take part in a tribute to Björn Afzelius! Cecilia Kyllinge, who sings and narrates during the performance, has released an album with songs written by Björn Afzelius – in a new style. Now she and three musicians are touring with the tribute concert “Så vill jag bli”.

IN THE 40s, our fine country was attacked by jazz and order was destroyed. The decadence and female liberation continued to eat away at the public home with hippies, collective thinking and make love not war. When no one thought it could get worse, a new storm rolled in.
It rained glitter and wide smiles. which made people almost bewitched to move in mating dances at something called discotheques. When the glam rock of the late 80s came, it was as if the last normal was turned upside down.

Adults have always been amazed - and shocked - to witness an incomprehensible youth generation in constant decline.

Cecilia Kyllinge with a band pays tribute to Björn Afzelius
Who was Björn Afzelius? What did he want and why? How did he and Mikael Wiehe meet? How was Hoola Bandoola Band born? What was his relationship with women? With the press? Why was it so important for Björn to stand up for the weak?

The concert mixes songs such as Sång till friheten, Atlantis, Ikaros, Så vill jag bli and En kungens Man with anecdotes and thoughts where we are reminded of or learn more about who Björn Afzelius was. And what he fought for.
