The fiery sabor of Latin America comes to Denver at ¡Fiesta!, where vibrant melodies and passionate beats will sweep you off your feet. Maestro Lawrence Golan helms the baton and the violin, conducting and performing a solo in Manuel Ponce’s magical Estrellita. Plus, we’re joined by the remarkable pianist and el alma de la fiesta Fabio Witkowski as we embark on a celebración that traverses the heart-pounding rhythms of Márquez’s Conga del Fuego Nuevo and the soul-stirring melodies of Rodríguez’s Mosaico Mexicano. By the end of the night, you’ll have a hard time resisting asking the person next to you, “¿Quieres bailar?”

Tickets to the PSO’s outdoor concert at the Plano Balloon Festival are now on sale! In partnership with the H-E-B | Central Market Plano Balloon Festival, the PSO is honored to once again play a role in opening this year’s festival with a special outdoor community concert! General admission tickets, which provide access to the concert, are $10 per person, $5 for children age 12 and under and seniors age 65 and up.

Our 75th season dawns with the Colorado premiere of Lawrence Golan’s Fantasia for Orchestra, a brooding-turned-bright composition originally written for violin that finds new life in the DPO Music Director’s quarantine re-orchestration. Lebanese musician Rony Barrak dazzles on the darbouka, or goblet drum, in his dramatic Middle Eastern composition, Beirut Sensations. The premiere concludes with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s victory over self-doubt when inspiration finally struck like a bolt of lightning, culminating in his lustrous Symphony No. 5.
