Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is back at Seattle Children’s Theatre, and this time wrapped in tinsel! Chicka Chicka Boom Boom: The Holiday Show puts a holiday spin on our wildly popular production as the alphabet scrambles to decorate a giant Christmas tree. They string lights, hang ornaments, and sing, dance, and tumble into holiday hijinks. With lively songs, clownish comedy, and plenty of audience participation, this merry musical invites kids and grown-ups alike to clap, sing, dance and join in the fun, and discover that every letter and sound has a place in this sparkly celebration.

Llama Llama Live! is a high-energy musical adaptation of Anna Dewdney’s beloved children’s book. The show follows Baby Llama’s dramatic, imaginative bedtime routine, including songs with his toys, Fuzzy, Dino and Robot, as he frets while waiting for Mama Llama to bring his red pajamas! Mama, hearing the commotion, comes upstairs with Llama’s pajamas in the laundry basket to ask about his day, his very first day at school, and put him to bed! But when she goes downstairs to do the million things that busy mothers must do at the end of the day, Llama is too wiggly to fall asleep. He howls for Mama to come back up, but she doesn’t arrive. Will she ever return? And when Mama finally swoops back in Llama, and the audience discover that even the biggest bedtime dramas end with love, laughter, and a cozy goodnight!

THIS EVENT IS AT THE ROSE AND ALFRED MINIACI PERFORMING ARTS CENTER ON THE NOVA SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY CAMPUS.

This Sensory-Inclusive Performance is intended to create a welcoming and supportive environment for children and adults on the autism spectrum as well as individuals with other sensitivity issues or developmental disabilities. To create a sensory-Inclusive setting, slight adjustments have been made to the production including reduced sound levels, no flashing or strobe lights and minimal special effects. An area adjacent to the theater has been designated as the Quiet Room with specially trained therapist to provide audience support.

Even with the help of a bedtime story, his eyes just won’t stay closed! Night time can be spooky, especially when Llama is all alone and Mama is downstairs doing who-knows what! Luckily, Llama has his three favourite toys to help him. Join Baby Llama, his Mama, and his friends Fuzzy, Dino, and Robot for an evening of music, dance, and the famous red pajamas. Award-winning playwright-composer-lyricist Austin Zumbro has written a panoply of clever tunes in a variety of styles to create a fun-filled, contemporary musical that expresses the imagination of childhood for both children and adults to enjoy.
