Olof is in the top tier of Swedish birdwatchers. That means he always has to be prepared to drop everything and go. Always. See a performance about being a slave to a hobby that can turn your life upside down. A hobby that you can't stop. But does he even want to?
Olof and Fanny Ramel based their work on Olof's real life when they wrote The Birdwatcher. Everything Olof says in the play is true, but it is often quite absurd. Who leaves their family and heads 700 kilometers north on Christmas Eve to see a bird? Olof has done that. His hobby affects his entire life and thus also the lives of his family. If a new bird species appears for Sweden, all plans are thrown overboard in an instant
