Married couple Rut and Ragnar are so happy! After decades together, they are finally getting divorced – promising to stay away from each other and leave each other alone forever.
But the plans for a solemn and beautiful ring-removal ceremony quickly go awry. Who will be the worst man ? Who gets the plain-knit sweater? How do you divide the cuckoo clock fairly? And… wouldn't it be wonderful to have one last divorce journey, a month of betrayal, together?

Rut & Ragnar , by Kristina Lugn, was originally written for our theatre director Gunilla Röör and Allan Edwall. Life got in the way and the play never reached its premiere. But now it's time! Spring 2026 will be Gunilla's last as theatre director, and there is no better farewell than touring the county with the play she finally gets to perform!
