Set Designer

On a stage floor, a disoriented ensemble of 30 people gropes for something. They struggle against unknown forces but don't seem to know what it is. Some grab for dominance, others rebel and try to break free, still others are more indifferent until they slowly and in different ways begin to change...  FOR GIVENESS? - Water is your house  is an experimental performance where modern dance meets choral singing, poetry, newly written music and video art and which explores the most difficult questions of our time about humanity and our planet. Throughout the performance, questions about the state of the world vibrate – What is forgiveness and reconciliation? Can we save our life support systems - and ourselves? Can we repair our relationship with living things? The performance emphasizes the interdependence between us and nature. It moves towards a kind of quiet revolution, a reconciliation that is not an end but a beginning.

Professional dancers and the School of Culture's musical students come together in an experimental performing arts performance where modern dance, choral singing, poetry, music and video art explore courage, vulnerability and the fragility of the planet.
