In inner city Liverpool, Mrs Kay’s progress class are bursting with excitement for their first school trip. The coach is booked, the snacks are packed, and spirits are high for a day of adventure. That is, until stern Mr Briggs decides to come along and supervise. As Mrs Kay’s determination to give the children a day, they’ll never forget clashes with Briggs’s strict, old-school discipline, the kids find themselves caught in the middle.

This hilarious and heartfelt production from The Courtyard Senior Youth Theatre brings the story to life with live percussion and original music. With seats available on stage, you’ll be right in the heart of the action as we ask the question: are we underestimating our young people?
