The Agora Orchestra and the Atelier lyrique of the Opéra de Montréal invite audiences to an extraordinary experience of Mozart's Requiem in the immersive atmosphere of the Richmond 1861 Salon, a former church in Little Burgundy. Far from a traditional concert, this performance transforms listening into a sensory journey. Staged by Thomas Lussier, the Requiem unfolds around and among the audience, carried by the voices of the Choir of St. Andrew and St. Paul Church and soloists Grace Buddolski, Ellita Gagner, Jeremy Scinocca, and Colin Mackey. Under the direction of Nicolas Ellis, this production offers a striking encounter with a timeless work.

Mozart's Requiem

American composer Jonathan Dawe, known for his hybrid approach blending baroque and contemporary musical language, joins forces with stage director Stéphanie Jasmin, whose work bridges literary, theatrical, and visual expression. Together, they reimagine Lully and Quinault’s opera as a contemporary political drama, transposed to the United States in the 1980s.
