After more than 50 years of marriage, Danny wants to thank his wife Sandra on his deathbed: for her love and the happiness she has given him. But he also has a confession to make, because all his life he has loved the wife of his best friend, Albert. Sandra can't reply, but she too hasn't loved her husband Danny, but rather his friend Albert. And Albert, in turn, may have loved Sandra more than his own wife – a fact he only realizes after Sandra's confession.
