Choreographer

The future is, in many respects, a great unknown. Will there be peace? Will nature recover? Where and how will our society develop? In the two-part dance performance at the Vidmarhallen, the two choreographers Jiří Pokorný and Ella Rothschild explore this theme, allowing two echoes of a future to resonate through dance in their new creations.

Echoes manifest in the body as traces of movement, as repetitions, distortions, and slowing down. The body becomes a sensor for what is to come, a seismograph of a future that announces itself in gesture, breath, and rhythm.
