A perennial favorite of the operatic canon and the third of W.A. Mozart’s collaborations with his best-known librettist, Lorenzo da Ponte, Così fan tutte showcases the best of both collaborators’ work: humor, intrigue, and a touch of pathos. Così fan tutte continues our investigation of opera as a living form and is part of our ongoing commitment to reimagining operatic language. In this new production, directed by Cate Pisaroni and conducted by Abdiel Vázquez, the familiar tale is reimagined through a polyamorous and design-driven lens—a contemporary exploration of love as process rather than verdict.
