Comedian

Empire Nights is back with a night of comedy, music and culture, curated by Lou Sanders (Taskmaster, Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable). The handpicked bill features comedian and Celebrity Traitors star Joe Lycett, acclaimed clown performer Frankie Thompson, 2025's Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer and SNL UK's Ayoade Bamgboye and cabaret collective Figs in Wigs, alongside a music act to be announced. Presented by Hackney Empire as part of its National Lottery Heritage Fund-supported anniversary programme.

Joe Lycett is back and he is unleashed! He was leashed! Now the leash has been removed, so there is no leash! Don’t come if you love leashes! You will HATE this show if you want someone on a leash!
