The Richmond Symphony’s Sound of the City Gala Concert celebrates the artists, influences, and musical traditions that continue to shape Richmond’s creative spirit.

Conducted by Naima Burrs and featuring guest artists Desirée Roots, Russell Wilson, Eddie Sundra, Marcus Tenney, Morgan Burrs, Corey Fonville, Andrew Randazzo, and Sam Fribush, the evening moves through jazz, swing, soul, funk, and orchestral collaborations inspired by the evolving sound of American music.
