Noah Vincent, a Bachelor of Music student under the guidance of Matthew Gaunt and Gene Pokorny, will be performing a diverse program that includes Astor Piazzolla's Tango Etude No. 3, selections from Claude Bolling's Suite for Cello and Jazz Piano Trio, Ricardo Molla's Sherezade for Tuba and Piano, Joan Tower's Copperwave, Sergei Rachmaninoff's "How Fair This Spot" from 12 Romances, Op. 21, No. 7, and Ralph Vaughan Williams' Linden Lea. He will be accompanied by an ensemble of talented musicians: Troy Archer and Fiona Shonik on trumpet, Emmett Conway on horn, Griffin Rupp on trombone, Seho Young on piano, Liam Powers on bass, and Calvin Simmers on drums.

This recital is a free event, open to the public, and does not require tickets. It will also be available via live stream for those who cannot attend in person. Anthems can represent freedom from suffering or victory in war, celebrate nations, sow peace or even pump up a crowd from the rock ‘n’ roll stage. What they all share in common is the power to unite and remind us of our shared humanity. This program of four unique anthem interpretations opens with the world premiere of Julia Wolfe’s choral work All that breathes, which embraces the massive sound of collective breath and exhalation, while David Lang‘s the national anthems reminds us that freedom is fragile, delicate and easy to lose. Julia Wolfe’s Pretty is a raw and raucous feminist anthem of work rhythms — thwarting notions of what pretty can mean. Closing out the program is Vaughan Williams’ beloved anthem for peace, Dona nobis pacem, written and premiered just a few years prior to the start of World War II.

Celebrate 40 years of the world-renowned Colorado Symphony Chorus with a renewal of Vaughan Williams' "A Sea Symphony," utilizing text from Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass, and employing a chorus throughout the entirety of the work in groundbreaking fashion. Among other positions Mr. Azzati was the Associate Conductor of the award-winning National Youth Choir of Argentina, Director of Choral Activities and Conductor of the award-winning choirs at the K-12 St. Agnes School, Director of Choral Activities and Conductor at the K-12 St. Andrew's School, Artistic Director and Conductor of Grupo Coral Kantus, a college-age youth community chorus, and Director of the Chorale de L’Alliance Française of Martínez.
