A concert celebrating the diversity of society and classical music: For Cologne Pride, the WDR Symphony Orchestra takes a completely different look at music history, presenting queer and non-queer musicians, singers, and composers. The program will be hosted by the celebrated New York drag queen Sasha Velour, winner of RuPaul's Drag Race – the audience can expect a vibrant celebration of classical music with works by Tchaikovsky, Saint-Saëns, Handel, and Bernstein, and outstanding soloists such as pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet and soprano Mayaan Licht.
