Angelin Preljocaj explores the mysterious force that unites, beyond differences and beliefs, those outraged by injustice. In the heart of villages and cities alike, this force draws us from our homes and flows like a wave fueled by the energy of despair and the dream of igniting the spark of renewal. Carried by the powerful and magnetic sounds of electronic music composer Irène Drésel, Soulèvement (Uprising) seizes this raw energy and channels it like joy through bodies, creating a collective movement reminiscent of a flock of starlings that breaks apart only to reform elsewhere. With the secret hope of opening a space from which the most beautiful expressions of sisterhood and brotherhood, the strongest feelings of freedom, will spring forth.
