Antonio Zavatteri, following the success of Yasmina Reza's Carnage , directs this celebrated comedy, which has become part of the collective imagination thanks in part to the success of the film of the same name, and is here adapted for the stage by Fausto Paravidino. During a dinner at the home of two left-wing professors, the relaxed atmosphere degenerates into a heated confrontation. The woman's brother announces that he will soon be a father, but after the initial enthusiasm, the guests are left puzzled by the embarrassing historical memories evoked by the name chosen for the unborn child. The discussion quickly escalates, bringing resentments, hypocrisies, and secrets to the surface. Amidst plot twists, comical quips, awkwardness, and deep bonds, political coherence is revealed to be at times a secondary factor, at other times a feat. Giving voice and form to the characters are Lisa Galantini, Alberto Giusta, Davide Lorino, Elisabetta Mazzullo, and Aldo Ottobrino.
