This time, guitarist Jacob Fischer will be performing with a superb, swinging quartet with some of the very young talents who are storming the jazz scene in recent years. Together they will throw themselves into some of the autumn classics, both from jazz's treasury of evergreens and the Danish song treasury. Jacob Fischer will probably be known to most people, not least from all the years with Svend Asmussen or the several thousand concerts with Finn Ziegler and Hugo Rasmussen, and he has also been a frequent guest in Silkeborg over the years. Pianist Zier Romme Larsen's both energetic and sensitive playing with Oscar Peterson, as a clear role model, is truly an experience out of the ordinary. He is the recipient of the Ben Webster Award 2023 that Fischer received in 1996. With his virtuoso, melodic, and rock-solid playing, bassist Matthias Petri is one of the most prominent younger bassists in Denmark. Andreas Svendsen is the brightest drumming talent we have experienced in many years and has played closely with Matthias Petri after their years together in New York.
