After a five-year absence, Virginia Raffaele returns to the theater with "Bancàl," a new show that transforms the stage into a circus of shaky, ramshackle, and imperfect stories. The Bancàl Circus is normality gone haywire, flaws become wonder, a place where everyday frailties become applause-worthy acts. Accompanied by an orchestra, Raffaele puts everyday lives front and center: lovers hanging by a thread, old people shot from a cannon, talking animals, clowns in suspenders. And this circus isn't just a show, but the irony with which each of us, every day, tries to maintain our balance.

Based on an idea by Virginia Raffaele, “Bancàl” was written with Francesco Freyrie, Daniele Prato, and Giovanni Todescan, with direction by Federico Tiezzi, sets by Pierpaolo Bisleri, costumes by Giovanna Buzzi, lighting design by Marco Pollini, assistant director Giovanni Scandella, and music and musical direction by Paolo Silvestri.
