Recitals are offered to families and school groups to help young audiences become familiar with the voice in the intimate setting of the Studio Bastille. Accompanied in their listening by musicians, students are also able to exchange with the artists at the end of the recital.

Carmen remains one of the most iconic heroines of the French repertoire. This recital highlights the full dramatic power and musical richness of Georges Bizet’s masterpiece.

Tell me about Carmen

Studio Bastille

Count Almaviva covets Susanna, the fiancée of his valet Figaro. To thwart their master's schemes, the two young lovers will turn everything upside down, dragging the Countess, the jealous, the naive, and the opportunists into their wake. From this cascading intrigue, Mozart and his librettist Lorenzo Da Ponte, inspired by Beaumarchais, craft a comedy that is both funny and profound. Deception, rivalries, thwarted love, jealousy, and forgiveness: in a single day, all the characters grapple with their desires and contradictions, and we readily recognize our own in them.
